Ingrid and I are both very interested in volunteering as a way to stretch our spirits. Ingrid recently "retired" from the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA). She has been a crisis intervention counselor, backup supervisor, and member and of the Board of Directors (including being Secretary and Board President) and I try and help where ever I can.

We have recently both volunteered with Literacy Volunteers of Tucson. Check out their web site at http://www.lovetoread.org/ as tutors and volunteers are always needed. Thinking about making a charitable contribution? Think Literacy Volunteers (or SACASA, or Heifer International or... O heck, just give!)

I spent seven years working with Arizona Special Olympics as a coach, referee, and member/Secretary of the Board of Directors.

For many years I've been working with several state technology organizations such as AzTEA, but I find I prefer working with an organization where you have direct contact with the people you are trying to help. Ingrid and I both believe very deeply in service to our community. We encourage you to find a volunteer opportunity as well.
